These cryogenic labels utilize a two-part construction: a printable white area paired with a clear overlaminate. After printing, the laminate is wrapped over the data field, physically sealing text, 1D/2D barcodes, and graphics from exposure to liquid nitrogen, aggressive solvents, and repeated autoclave cycles. The result is consistent scan reliability even on small curved surfaces like cryo vials and centrifuge tubes, where poor label performance typically degrades read rates.
From a print systems perspective, Brady THT-127-461-3 Labels integrate cleanly into thermal transfer environments with standard Brady-compatible printers, supporting 300–600 DPI resolution for dense barcode symbologies and compact identifiers. This ensures compatibility with enterprise labeling standards and LIMS-driven workflows.
Adhesion performance is equally critical. The permanent acrylic adhesive is engineered for tight bonding on smooth, non-porous substrates, maintaining integrity through thermal cycling without flagging or edge lift. This reduces relabeling events and preserves chain-of-custody accuracy.
