Because it is direct thermal, 8000D Lab prints without a ribbon. Apply it at 32°F (0°C) or warmer; once set, it holds from -75°F to 120°F (-59°C to 49°C). Zebra rates it "Not Recommended" for alcohol, IPA, bleach, and ammonia, so containers wiped with those disinfectants need a more chemical-resistant material.
