Advanced Automation wants you to be pleased with your new purchase and if you need to return an item, we're certainly here to help.  You can return many of the products offered by Advanced Automation, though you may see different return options depending on the item or reason for return.  Please review the return and exchange policy outlined below.   You are also able to initiate a Return Request below as well!  Thank you for your continued trust and business!


There are a few important things to keep in mind when returning a product you purchased from Advanced Automation:

1.  You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
2.  A 20% restocking fee applies to all returns without a replacement order.  Returns with a replacement order and exchanges will have the restocking fee waived.
3.  Please ensure that the item you're returning is repackaged with all the cords, cables, accessories and documentation that were included when you received it and that you do not write or mark on the product box.  Any returns being received with marked,  tagged, or damaged packaging or contents are subject to a 20% restocking fee or denial of return at our discretion.
4.  No returns will be accepted without the completion of the Return Authorization Form below and a Return Authorization number provided to you after your RA has been approved.


There are some items that are ineligible for return, including:

-Opened software*-Electronic Software Downloads-Software Upgrades-Used labels and ribbon-Pre-installed printheads-Custom Labels *You can return software, provided that it has not been installed on any computer. Software that contains a printed software license may not be returned if the seal or sticker on the software media packaging is broken.


An item that is incorrectly ordered is not considered defective.  It is the responsibility of the end-user to inspect their products upon receipt to ensure products are in acceptable working order. All defective product returns are eligible for an exchange or full refund. No replacement product or refunds will be issued until defective product has been received, inspected and approved as defective. No returns will be accepted without the completion of the Return Authorization Form below and a Return Authorization number provided to you after your RA has been approved.


Non-defective printhead returns may be made within a 60 day period of time. Defective printheads are covered by a manufacturers 6 month (180 day) warranty. Printhead returns and exchanges are handled one of two ways after receiving a Return Authorization number. 1.) The printhead is shipped back where it will be inspected. Once approved, a replacement printhead will be shipped out or a credit will be issued and a 20% re-stocking fee will apply. 2.) Instead of waiting through the inspection process for a replacement printhead, a new printhead would be ordered immediately and shipped out as a new order. (2 printheads paid for). The printhead is shipped back where it will be inspected. Once approved, a credit will be issued back to the original printhead order. No returns will be accepted without the completion of the Return Authorization Form below and a Return Authorization number provided to you after your RA has been approved


Before you open an item or try to install it, please make sure that you have ordered and/or received the correct item to begin with.  Prior to returning any product for exchange or refund, you must first complete the RMA form, so we can issue you an RMA number and track your return.  As indicated in our Standard Return Policy, all returned products must be in the original, unmarked packaging, along with all the original contents.  Please DO NOT write on the manufacturer's original packaging!  Pack the item you want to return within another shipping carton, to prevent any damage to the actual product box.  Include the RMA number on the shipping label so it is clearly visible.


When you return an item, your refund and how your refund is issued may differ based on the condition of the item, how long you've had the item and how the item was purchased.Once we receive your item, a refund is initiated immediately. If you canceled a pickup item, and you were billed for it, we initiate your refund immediately after you submit your cancelation request. The way your refund is processed depends on your original payment method:-If you paid by credit or debit card, refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within 5-7 business days of receipt of the returned item or cancelation request. Please contact the card-issuing bank with questions about when the credit will be posted to your account.-Products purchased using a PO will be refunded to you as a credit on your account or a check, depending on what you specify. 


In the event that you ordered the wrong item or would like to exchange it for a different item, the customer is responsible for placing a new order for the replacement product.  Upon receipt and inspection of the product to be exchanged, we will credit the account accordingly.  


If you receive an incorrect product, you have 60 days from the date of purchase to initiate a Return Authorization request. Once the RA has been approved, we will send a replacement to you at no additional cost. A pre-paid shipping label will also be sent to you to cover freight costs associated with returning the incorrect product.


The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping returned items, unless they are defective or the wrong item to begin with.  When Advanced Automation is responsible for covering the cost of shipping replacements or exchanges, we will match the customer's original shipping method.  If you return an item using a prepaid method, and the reason for return is not a result of an Advanced Automation error, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund unless your item qualifies for a free return. Return shipping fees will be communicated on the RMA form, once it has been submitted.


1. Items in the original condition that were purchased incorrectly are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
2. Any open box items that have been unused, but are missing the original packaging or have writing on the product box, will be taken on a case by case basis.
3. Items that are not in the original condition or that are damaged, missing parts or have obvious signs of use not due to shipping damage, will not be replaced or refunded.


Most products sold by Advanced Automation come with some sort of manufacturer's warranty.  Items that are DOA (Dead On Arrival) are subject to ther terms of teh manufacturer's warranty and will be handled accordingly.  Depending on the timeframe, these will either be replaced directly through the manufacturer or through Advanced Automation.  These warranties typically do not cover damage due to improper installation, modification or abuse of the product, which will be decided at the manufacturer's discretion.  

Damaged Shipments

In the event you receive a package that shows obvious damage, please refuse the shipment and contact us immediately.  If there are no obvious signs on the outside, but upon opening a package you discover damage, please contact us right away and we can arrange for an inspection by the carrier.
